Survey, Prizes and Sales!

TeacherSorce, Homeschool Holiday, and I, Froggy About Teaching are asking for your help. We are wanting to know what resources you are wanting and needing. We have created a survey that will only take you 2 minutes to fill out. If you fill it out and give us your email, we will show our appreciation with Amped Up Learning gift cards, Amazon gift cards, and a resource from our stores. Teachers, we need your guidance!

This Survey ends 8-8-20 when we will be drawing names for prizes.

AS you can see from the above pin Amped Up Learning is also having a site-wide sale. All items in my store are 25% off. It starts this Friday, September 4, and goes through Monday, September 7.
What I usually do when I know a sale is coming up I load up my cart with products. I wait until the sales begin and then I go and make my purchases! Go to my store and see if there is anything you could use. I hope you find something!

Homeschool Holiday

In 2018, Christy Serra Gandara began to create teacher resources.

Her store is Homeschool Holiday on Amped Up Learning.

Christy says, “I had always put my own twist on things, even way back in 1994 when I had my students map where the major league baseball teams were located on the first day of spring training.”

I totally agree with her, if you take a look at the different products she has in her store, you will feel like you are in a teacher candy store. Teachers, you will appreciate these candies because they have substance! She provides unique teaching resources based on daily calendar holidays. What fun!  Students would have fun and be engaged in their learning.

I took some screenshots of part of her store on Amped Up Learning.

There are so many teacher resources on Amped Up Learning. Come by and visit Homeschool Holiday and Froggy About Teaching.

Product Review: Nursery Rhyme Creative Play and Virtual World Traveler Activity Pack

Teacher Contributor - Christy Serra Gandara

At heart, Christy with Homeschool Holiday on Amped Up Learning is a Homeschool teacher! So that has been her focus as she has created her teaching resources. Her products have a purpose and are carefully thought out. Yes, her products can be used in the classroom! I am going to talk about 2 of her products which will help you see it's functionality in the classroom.

Nursery Rhyme Creative Play, (I am so glad I own this one!) can be used in a preschool, Pre-K, Kinder, and 1st grade classroom. It has the roles that kids can take to learn their part of the play. It includes puppets, which are adorable. The kids can make the puppets themselves. The puppets have been provided in different formats both in color and black and white. It can't be any easier for a teacher, everything that is needed to put on any of these plays has been provided.

Now she takes the students all around the world to different countries, Virtual World Traveler Activity Pack. The students start by making their passports. Then they get to virtually visit different countries and learn about them. The links to these virtual resources are provided in the document. What a great Social Studies project!

I am so happy to be a Teacher Contributor on Amped Up Learning. I will continue to host more Teacher Contributors on my blog and let you see the quality of their products.

I have one more article to share on my friend Christy. I shall return with more Homeschool Holiday!

Christy Serra-Gandara, Homeschool Holiday

Christy Serra-Gandara is a Teacher Contributor for Amped Up Learning. Her store name is, Homeschool Holiday. She creates teacher resources for grade levels 3-5. She has an amazing assortment of fun, academic products!

When Christy's kids were old enough to go to school, she made the decision to homeschool them herself. You will love this story that she shared with me about the beginning of homeschooling her kids. She did not want her kids to call her ‘mom’ all day. It was awkward for her to have them call her ‘Mrs. Gandara’.

So . . . during their first week of school, the kids and Daddy brainstormed together and came up with a special teacher name just for the

Happy Hive (then the Gandara Bug Academy). - Mrs. Crabtree... the name comes from the teacher in the Little Rascals television show.  One year, her kids wanted to leave the Christmas tree standing, and they did just that. This inspired her! She came up with the idea to base their lessons on the holiday of the day.  She totally loved doing this! This story will help you to see the reason for the type of resources, she creates for teachers.

I have more to share with you about Christy and her store . . . Part 2 coming very soon!
